FAQ
Quick answers about the current HikeTrack feature set.
Can HikeTrack work offline?
Map areas prepared in advance remain available offline. Some routing or external-data features may still require a service connection.
Can I use GPX tracks?
Yes. HikeTrack can import, display, search, share and delete GPX tracks, with route previews and key statistics.
Is 3D planning available?
Yes. Planned routes can be viewed in 3D together with terrain and an elevation profile. Multi-stage and multi-day planning is also available.
What are protected-area alerts for?
HikeTrack can display protected areas and warn when a planned route crosses one. Official regulations remain the reference to check before going out.
Is group mode final?
The module exists but remains marked as testing while invitations, member tracking and shared tracks are being refined.
Does HikeTrack replace emergency services?
No. SOS and preparation tools are support features. In an emergency, use the appropriate official services and numbers.
